In 2022, I was invited by my conducting teacher, Wayne Toews, to compose a work that could be used at his conducting workshop in Saskatoon. "Chorale for strings" was the first of these pieces, premiered in 2023. "Prelude" followed suit in 2024. This piece relies on a dotted rhythm that drives the construction of the piece.
